With the recent increase in licensing costs for paid Java SE options, we've seen Temurin downloads surge—from over 75M in 2023 to over 250M by the end of 2023, and doubling again to more than 500M by the end of 2024. This growth strongly indicates a significant transition away from paid Java options toward open-source solutions like Temurin. If your organization has made this migration, you've likely experienced significant cost savings. Dedicate a portion of your savings to Temurin to invest in your corporate software supply chain by ensuring Temurin's long-term viability, enhance security, and accelerate faster releases for the Java community.

ECLIPSE ADOPTIUM
“We are a software company based in Lyon, France. We use open source software, components and libraries to create and operate reliable, durable and fancy web-based applications when no software editor provides a solution matching our custom requirements. As our activity focuses on providing long-lived (10 years), highly specialized applications, built and operated by small teams (1-5 persons), we need to find the good options to maintain our application up-to-date and allow regular releases despite constrained roadmap. Software strategy (tools, libraries) is essential to ensure the quality and productivity level needed to keep the rhythm without burning developers. As we commit, as individuals and as a company, to common interest, we choose to dedicate a significant part of our profit to the environment and to the open-source projects that support our activity. Beyond our own activity, we consider open source as a key part for computer science education and software innovation.”
